Looking for a fun and easy way to get involved with the SUSU community this summer? Whether cooking is your passion or simply something that reminds you of home, SUSU's Summer Student Cookbook 2026 is the perfect opportunity to share a taste of your story.
SUSU is inviting students to submit their favourite recipes to be featured in a digital cookbook celebrating the diversity and creativity of the global student community. From treasured family favourites and comforting classics to exciting new discoveries, every recipe has a place.
Why take part?
University is about more than lectures and deadlines, it's also about community, culture, and connection. Food plays a huge role in bringing people together, and this cookbook aims to capture that spirit.
By contributing, students will:
- Showcase their culture, creativity, and personality
- Be part of a collaborative project celebrating global cuisines
- Have their recipe published in an official SUSU digital cookbook
- Inspire fellow students to try something new
Whether it's a quick weekday meal, a nostalgic dish from home, or a sweet treat perfected over time: every recipe tells a story worth sharing.
What happens next?
At the end of the summer, all submitted recipes will be brought together into a digital cookbook, creating a lasting collection of dishes that represent the richness of the student community.
How to get involved
Getting started is simple:
- Submit a recipe here
- Include your favourite dish
- OPTIONAL: Include the story or inspiration behind your recipe
- For any queries, contact v.stewart@soton.ac.uk
Deadline for submissions: 30 July 2026
Don't miss out
This is your chance to leave your mark, connect with others, and celebrate the flavours that matter most to you. Whether you are a seasoned cook or just getting started, your contribution is welcome.
So, what are you waiting for? Get cooking, get sharing, and be part of something delicious this summer.
