We're finally saying goodbye to winter and saying a big hello to spring! With the sun coming out more and the temperature going up, it's beginning to sound like picnic weather 🧺
Here are our top spots around Southampton and Winchester:
1. Royal Victoria Country Park
Full of history, with a small beach, ancient woodland and miles of open fields, Royal Victoria Country Park is a lovely little hidden gem, perfect for a midday picnic or some sunset snacks.

2. East Park
Nothing beats the peaceful atmosphere of a central Southampton green space, especially when it's so close to campus. With its Victorian heritage, rose beds, and summer bulbs, it can turn a simple picnic into a movie-worthy scene. It also features the iconic Titanic Engineers' Memorial.

3. Abbey Gardens
Abbey Gardens is the perfect place to lie down a cosy picnic rug and demolish meal deals with your mates. This picturesque garden is full of colour with flower beds throughout, shaded by trees and with the Itchen River running right beside it.

4. Oram's Arbour
This beautiful green open space hidden at the top of Winchester town centre is a great spot for a picnic. From certain angles, you can even get views of the ridge and the city below.
