You've checked into your room, unpacked your bags, attended Freshers events, and started your course — so what's next?
What is a Res Life Fair?
Our Res Life Fairs are your opportunity to settle into your new home, find out what support is available to you, and connect with the people and services that you may need to help you thrive in halls.
The Res Life Fairs will be coming to Glen Eyre, Wessex Lane, and Mayflower from Monday 6 to Wednesday 8 October.
Run by your Res Life Cycle team, the Res Life Fairs showcase University departments, SUSU clubs and societies, and local organisations — highlighting the services that they provide and giving you an opportunity to connect with the people that are important to you.
The exhibitors
The University's Wellbeing, Financial, Careers, and Safety Support teams will be on site highlighting the initiatives that they will be running this year.
If you're still looking for a hobby to get involved in, then you can take this opportunity to connect with a range of SUSU clubs and societies.
We'll also be welcoming external organisation, such as your neighbourhood policing team, to demonstrate the resources that are available to support student life and help you feel safe during your studies.
Competitions, challenges, and prizes
Not only can you use this opportunity to fully settle into halls living and prepare for University life, there will also be a range of free treats and giveaways for you to take part in on the day.
Enter our grand prize draw for a chance to win a £500 bike, then visit the stalls and tackle our Res Life Fair Challenge to try your luck at our prize wheel to win fun prizes — including a 2025 University-branded halls hoodie.
We can't wait to welcome you to the Res Life Fairs 25-26.
