Mayflower Halls

Please note that maintenance work will be taking place at Mayflower Hall for 2026/27 and there may be some disruption to residents as a result, which may include moving to a different room partway through the year. A planned programme of works has been put in place to carry out improvements to fire stopping measures within Mayflower in line with the latest building safety requirements. The works will be undertaken in phases between June 2026-August 2027 and some students will be asked to move into alternative rooms and flats. If required to move Residents will be provided a new room, of the same category, within Mayflower halls, where they will remain for the rest of the year. All affected students will receive at least four weeks’ notice and will be provided support with the move. Full FAQ's can be found on the Halls Life site.

Archers Road

From September 2026 Archers Road will be run by Aspire Student Living in partnership with the University of Southampton. During the year, as part of this arrangement, improvements will be made to upgrade the reception and common room areas at Archers Road, which may cause some disruption to residents.

Wessex Lane - Montefiore C and D block

Enhanced shared bathroom and Enhanced shared bathroom (larger) rooms at Wessex Lane are currently being refurbished and will become available mid-academic year. Should you apply/be allocated one of these rooms you would be allocated a standard shared bathroom room initially and would move to the Enhanced shared bathroom accommodation once the work has been completed and accommodation becomes available, expected to be in November/December. You would be charged the rate for a standard shared bathroom room up until the 19 December, even if you moved before this date, after which you would pay the rate for an Enhanced shared bathroom or Enhanced shared bathroom (larger) room depending on which one you have been allocated.
